All sessions run 7-10pm</span><br><br><b>Processing (P5) is an open source programming language and development environment for people who want to create images, animations and interactions.</b><br><br><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">Initially developed to serve as a software sketchbook and to teach fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context, P5 also has evolved into a tool for generating finished professional work. Today, there are tens of thousands of students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists who use P5 for learning, prototyping, and production.</span><br><br><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">This course is aimed at giving a rapid introduction to programming using P5, creating dynamic and reactive content in a project-driven environment. By making onscreen visuals from the very first minute, this hands-on workshop practices learning-by-doing. </span><br><br><b>Session I</b><br><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">Learning the IDE. Programming basics - variables, functions, conditionals. Order of operation. Creating Classes. Dissecting examples.</span><br><br><b>Session II</b><br><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); ">Extending Processing with Libraries. Interaction with Mouse, Keyboard, Cameras, Microphones, Controllers, Network, Arduino. Audio-video playback. Animation.
