David
Knoebel studied sculpture at Yale in the early 1970's. After graduation,
he moved to New York City and showed his work at various places
including the Hal Bromm Gallery, PS 1, and Artist's Space. He began
his work with computer animated visual poetry in the late 80's.
His home page, Click Poetry, appeared in 1996. Knoebel's current
projects put words in various odd predicaments on the web, videotape,
and billboards.
"The English language includes more than 250,000 words. Good combinations
are still available."
