JEREMY TURNER AND ALAIN LIORET, JUNE 29

Jeremy Turner is our featured artist on Friday June 29 at 7pm.
At 10 pm, we will connect with Alain Lioret in Paris via Skype. Alain Lioret
teaches generative art at the University of Paris 8 and is creating such art
himself. You can see some of his work at

"Painting Beings" which creates images via autonomous agents.
JEREMY TURNER BIO:
Jeremy Owen Turner is a PhD student at Simon Fraser University's School of
Interactive Arts and Technology. Jeremy usually exhibits internationally as
a performance artist in virtual environments and video-games. Jeremy has
been a virtual performance artist since 1996. Jeremy also has a background
in Music Composition and Art-History. Currently, he is making aesthetically
engineered "art-beings" (virtual agents) that are enhanced with varying
degrees of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
GROUP OF X TALK:
Jeremy will be giving us a sneak-preview into his virtual performance-art
portfolio (Jeremy is quite prolific) and will mention his current and future
art praxis.

The talk is at my place, which is at 811 Helmcken St. in the 'Imperial
Tower' (!). Buzz 247. I am in #1502 on the 15th floor. I'm at 604 209 1728.

UNDERGROUND PARKING
*****************************
If you're coming by car, there is underground parking. The entrance to the
underground parking is off Helmcken. You turn into an alley between Howe and
Hornby. You then see an underground entrance to your right. You take that
and then buzz me at 247. Park in the visitor's section, proceed to the
elevator area, and then buzz me again at 247 to get access to the elevator.
