This is the last show of the Audio Gallery series at Lucky's!


An Audio Gallery presents:

"FIVE TIMES (LESS A HUNDRED)" BY ANNA FRIZ
An audio installation on collecting clocks and losing time.

Opens on Friday November 9th at 7pm. The exhibition runs until
December 9th at Lucky’s. Lucky’s is located at 3972 Main Street in
Vancouver (near Main and 24th). Open 7 days a week from noon-ish to 6
pm (5 pm on Sundays).

Anna Friz has presented installation and solo performance works
incorporating low-watt FM transmission at festivals and venues such as
the Western Front in Vancouver, the Banff Centre for the Arts, Sea of
Sound Festival in Edmonton, Send + Receive Festival in Winnipeg (2000,
2004), Tone Deaf Festival in Kingston, Studio XX, Suoni per il Popolo,
Rad’a Gallery, and the Société des arts technologiques in Montréal,
Deep Wireless in Toronto; as well as at free103point9 gallery in
Brooklyn, PS 122, and the Tank in New York City, the Third Coast Audio
Festival in Chicago, the Fifth Biennale of Radio in Mexico City, Ars
Electronica 2002 in Linz, the Akademie der Künste, Berlin; Club
Transmediale, Berlin; Tesla, Berlin, Radio Revolten, Halle Germany;
and Radiophonic 07, Bruxelles, Belgium. She has produced numerous
original radio works heard on independent airwaves in more than 15
countries; and for national public radio in Canada, Austria, Germany,
Denmark and Mexico.

An Audio Gallery is a new Vancouver collective of audio artists who
have collaborated with Lucky's to show five audio installations
between June and December 2012. The shows have featured Diana
Burgoyne, Jeremy Isao Speier, Ansolute Value of Noise, and Jean
Routhier. "Five Time (less a hundred)" will be the closing show of the
series!
