I'm delighted that there will be a Group of X event on Friday the 13th of December: Rob Myers will be giving a talk and presentation on his work. If you've been involved at all with the Rhizome.org discussions over the years or those at furtherfield.org in the UK, you'll recall Rob Myers posts and art. He has always struck me as an interesting, intelligent and balanced artist, critic, and commentator on matters of art, technology and media.

Rob Myers is an artist, hacker and writer who has just relocated to Vancouver from the UK. He's been combining remix culture and arts computing since the early 1990s. He was a student and a tutor at the Centre For Electronic Art, Middlesex University. He held the world's first all-copyleft art show in Belgrade, Serbia. And he's a reviewer and advisory board member for Furtherfield in England. Currently he's freeing canonical conceptual art with 3D printing and visualizing the data of art history.
