Hi Colin,
well you are generally right... but in my case I didn't mention Adobe Animate, because I didn't know it exists (and yes - I do have a CC subscription). Still - I nowadays try to avoid Adobe software as much as I can, because every time I launch Adobe <whatever>, they install something in my launch-scripts (without asking), clutter my drives like crazy and create loads of request to the Internet (and the new open/save dialogs are slow like hell - even on my quad i7 machine)...
I find nothing wrong trying to get rid of rigid subscription based software if I don't like it. Especially where I can use my (CC) software on 2 of my 3 computers only (desk-home, desk-office, mobile) - except I activate/deactivate CC 2 times a day, which is ridiculous.
But I took you post and I am downloading Animate as we speak...
